東メボンから東に約4km地点。かつてこの地域に居住していた民族の名を拝して｢サムレ族の砦｣という意味を持つ。
四方を周壁に囲まれた内側にはアンコールワットによく似た中央祠堂があり、破風には様々なヒンドゥー教のストーリー性のある彫刻が刻まれ、見る者の想像をかき立てる。
東参道にはテラスがあり、高さ約6mの周壁上部にはラテライトで彫られた珍しいナーガが残る。
