意味は「絡み合う蛇」で円形の祠堂の基壇に大蛇が巻き付いているのに由来する。
大池と四方の四つの小池からなる沐浴場で元々はプリアカンの貯水池の中心に位置していた。
中央池の中心には祠堂と神馬像があり、四方の各小池には人・馬・獅子・象の顔彫像があり、それぞれの口から聖水が流れ出す仕組みになっていた。
